| On April 10th, the 17th annual Barstow Angus Ranch production sale was held at the ranch west of Springview. Thirty-three buyers purchased sixty-two head of bulls. The bulls sold for an average of $3,094. This year’s high selling bull was Lot #51 selling 2/3 interest and full possession for $8,500 to Boettcher Angus of Spencer, NE. Lot #3 purchased by Jim Craven of Newport sold for $6,750. The high selling sire groups included the 9 sons of Mytty In Focus averaging $3,489 and the 8 sons of Schurrtop MC 2500 averaging $3,038. Volume buyer for the day was the Frauen Ranch of Valentine, NE, purchasing eleven head. |
